Simplify Your Pleasures/Part 5

Our brain seeks pleasure and, instead of being satisfied with “simple pleasures”, we get in the habit of consuming “concentrated pleasures”. 

I invite you to consider these questions:

Which of these CONCENTRATED PLEASURES are you in the habit of consuming:

  • sugar/flour?
  • alcohol?
  • drugs/weed?
  • social media?
  • shopping?
  • video games?
  • Netflix?
  • porn?
  • risky behaviors?
  • Gambling?

Which of these SIMPLE PLEASURES will be satisfying?

  • exercise?
  • rest/nap?
  • water?
  • reading/podcasts?
  • connection with family/friends?
  • meditation?
  • journaling?
  • healthy foods?
  • shower/bath?
  • massage?
  • sex?
  • hobbies?
