Shirking Shadows

A SHADOW is a part, quality, preference, or desire that you deem to be unsafe for others to witness IN you. 

We worry that if someone saw the “real” us, we’d be rejected, judged, criticized, humiliated, or shamed. 

Our SHADOWS hold incredible gifts if we are willing to:

• ALLOW
• ACCEPT
• EMBRACE

all of these shadow parts and qualities. 

I invite you to consider these questions:

• Which parts of yourself do you resist and hide?
• Which qualities do you judge and criticize in yourself and in others?
• What might be the worst thing someone would think or say about you if they glimpsed your shadows?
