Overwhelm Guilt

Once your body and brain hits “overwhelm”, the only way “out” is by doing nothing. At this point, we must create the space for stillness, solitude, and silence.

When we feel guilt, it means that according to us, we have behaved in a manner that we’re not proud of.

Overwhelm guilt occurs when we feel as if we’re doing something wrong when we prioritize rest.

I invite you to consider these questions:

  • What is your brain telling you that you’re guilty for?
  • When do you push yourself past capacity in order to keep taking care of others?
  • What is the worst thing someone else might think or say about you if you take a break to rest?
  • When do you notice arguing with your body’s needs?
