In “How To Delegate Effectively: 9 Tips for Managers,” by Lauren Landry of the Harvard Business School, there are 6 main reasons why people won’t delegate. 

 

The first reason is thinking and believing that it will take longer to explain the task than actually complete it themselves.

  • When do you overcomplicate tasks or expect perfection?
  • What is the “minimum baseline” you can expect in regard to task completion?
  • How is it possible that you have plenty of time to delegate?
