Feeling Excluded

An EMOTIONAL TRIGGER is any person, words, actions, situations, or environments that make us emotionally uncomfortable. We’ll likely experience intense, excessive physical sensations. 

When we feel excluded, it may be because we haven’t been invited to an event or included in plans or with a group of people. 

I invite you to consider these questions:

  • When do you notice feeling EXCLUDED?
  • When you feel EXCLUDED, what do you make it mean about you or about others?
  • When do you notice blaming others for excluding you?
  • When do you notice blaming yourself for being inferior or inadequate?
  • When you’re triggered by feeling excluded, what does your body need in order to feel safe?
  • When have you experienced feeling excluded and how did you take care of yourself?
