Feeling Blamed

An EMOTIONAL TRIGGER is any person, words, actions, situations, or environments that make us emotionally uncomfortable. We’ll likely experience intense, excessive physical sensations. 

When we feel BLAMED, it feels as if someone else is saying “It’s all your fault” because:

  • you disappointed them
  • hurt their feelings or caused them pain
  • altered their circumstances negatively

I invite you to consider these questions:

  • According only to me, did I do or say something that I’m not proud of?
  • Have I taken responsibility for my thoughts, beliefs, meanings, feelings, actions and results?
  • Do I allow others to take responsibility for their thoughts, feelings, actions, and results?
  • Is this mine?
  • What am I not willing to take responsibility for doing, saying, or being?
