Dreading The Holidays
In her latest book, Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of the Human Experience, five-time #1 New York Times best-selling author Brene Brown writes:
“Dread occurs frequently in response to high-probability negative events; its magnitude increases as the dreaded event draws nearer.”

Consider these questions:
- Do dread spending time with certain people?
- Do you dread attending certain events?
- Do you dread the financial part of preparing for the holidays?
- Does the dread stem from trying to meet the holiday expectations of others?
