Dread Vs. Fear
In her latest book, Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of the Human Experience, five-time #1 New York Times best-selling author Brene Brown writes:
“For anxiety and dread, the threat is in the future. For fear, the threat is now - in the present moment.”

Consider these questions:
- What do you notice dreading about the future:
- something that might happen?
- something that you might feel?
- a job?
- a financial challenge?
- a relationship complication?
- When do you notice getting triggered by fear in the present:
- in certain situations or locations?
- with certain people?
- at work?
- at home?
